  • Two shots Stoli or Absolut vodka
  • Gallo's Sweet Vermouth
  • One Slice Lime
  • Cold Water
  • Ice

Start by making sure the vodka has been in the freezer for at LEAST a day. A week is better. Begin by filling the martini glass to the rim with ice cubes, then pouring the cold water over the ice. As the glass is chilling, fill your tumbler with ice cubes. Now pour the vodka into the tumbler. Close the tumbler, then shake it vigorously up and down for about ten seconds. Open the lid, then pour just a splash of vermouth in with the ice and vodka. Reseal the tumbler, then shake for ten more seconds. Now pour the martini glass full of ice water down the sink and pick up the glass. Gently rub the lime around the rim of the glass like you would if you were salting a margarita glass. Drop the lime slice into the bottom of the empty glass. Now CAREFULLY strain the contents of the tumbler into the glass and over the lime. Serve immediately, and refill as soon as it gets the least bit warm. Repeat until drunk.
