FAVORITE BEVERAGE |
It depends on the time of the day. In the morning, it has to be coffee. Afternoon, I might favor some type of juice. I like orange juice, but sometimes it can be a little too acidic for me, so I'll lean towards an apple or a grape juice. In the evenings I might have a glass of mile with dinner, or a soda. When it's hey-hey time, I'll usually go with beer. When gathered with my dear friends, the Slugs, it has to be brandy and Coke.
|
FAVORITE TIME OF THE DAY |
I'm actually starting to like this whole morning thing, especially on days I don't have to work. I find myself accomplishing things.
|
FAVORITE SEASON |
I am partial to summer, because I do like to bike and golf. I also like going down by the lake and getting some sun. However, when you get those unbearably hot and sticky days, and your electric meter is running faster than a meat slicer, I'm not a fan. Winter is okay, only up until Christmas, and then snow is a drag. I do like a snowstorm that just paralyzes things for a day or two. Everything is thrown into chaos, schools and work close down. And then everything starts to function again, and the snow gets all dirty, and the city looks ugly. Fall is beautiful up until all the leaves come down. Then it turns gray, steely and bleak. The temperature drops, and the wind seems to pick up a lot. Spring is nice, trees are budding, birds are coming back, but then it usually rains a lot, and the snow melts, and all the dog owners who got away with not picking up after their dogs in the winter, have left us these calling cards of thawing dog crap, that you try to avoid in your daily travails.
|
FAVORITE SLUGS SONG |
There's quite a few. From Junior "Thing or Two", "This Time Summer" and "Leave That One Alone" stand out. A new one, "Just Another Brand New Day" is rapidly becoming a favorite. Johnny's new song is GREAT!

Driving with my dad, going south on 294, there's that little spur that splits off onto the Edens Expressway. I remember that. I also remember being about four years old, and being able to bike up and down the block we lived on in Lindenhurst, IL. Other than that, I've repressed most of my childhood.
